In particular, banana is climacteric fruit with short shelf-life; thus, good postharvest practice through the supply chain essential to maintaining its quality. Prior applying proper technology, it important understand physiological changes during ripening process. This review describes characteristics of after harvesting as well technologies being studied and adopted practically achieve goals. The discussion herein highlights critical quality control points chain, e.g., storage, artificial ripening, transportation.
